Finnish app name: Laskuri
1. Overview
Tally Counter, called Laskuri in Finnish, is a simple counting app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app processes, how that data is used, and what choices users have.
The app is designed to keep user data on the user’s own devices whenever possible.
2. Data Controller
The data controller for Tally Counter (Laskuri) is the app developer.

3. What Data the App Processes
Tally Counter only processes data that the user creates or enters in the app. This can include:
- Count names
- Count values
- Saved count dates and times
- App settings such as language preference
- App settings such as appearance preference
- App settings such as sound and haptic feedback preferences
4. What the App Is Used For
Tally Counter provides features such as:
- Starting a new count
- Continuing an active count
- Naming a count
- Saving counts for later
- Viewing, editing, and deleting saved counts
- Exporting saved counts as PDF or CSV when requested by the user
- Sharing exported data when requested by the user
- Using the app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch
- Syncing active count state, saved counts, and selected settings between iPhone and Apple Watch
- Applying the user’s selected language, appearance, sound, and haptic settings
5. Why Data Is Used
Data is processed only to provide the app’s core functionality, such as:
- Displaying active and saved counts
- Letting the user edit or delete saved counts
- Exporting and sharing data at the user’s request
- Syncing relevant app data and preferences between the user’s iPhone and Apple Watch
- Applying the user’s selected language, appearance, sound, and haptic settings
6. Storage and Location of Data
App data is primarily stored locally on the user’s device or paired devices.
This may include local device storage mechanisms used by Apple platform apps. Data is not stored on the developer’s own servers by default.
When using iPhone and Apple Watch together, some app data may be transferred between the user’s own devices through Apple’s device-to-device communication frameworks in order to support sync features.
7. Sharing with Third Parties
Tally Counter does not sell user data and does not disclose user data to third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.
If the user chooses to export or share data, the selected destination may receive that data. Examples may include Files, Mail, Messages, and cloud storage services. In those cases, the privacy practices of the selected app or service also apply.
8. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
Tally Counter does not include in-app advertising, does not use its own behavioral tracking, and does not profile users for marketing purposes.
9. Data Retention
Data is kept until the user removes it. For example, data may remain available until the user deletes saved counts in the app, resets or changes app data, or uninstalls the app.
Device backups, including Apple backup services, may store app data depending on the user’s own device settings.
10. User Control
Because the app is intended to keep data under the user’s control, users can generally view their saved data in the app, edit their saved data, delete their saved data, choose the app appearance, choose whether sounds and haptics are enabled, and choose the app language.
11. Children’s Privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children and does not independently collect personal data over a network.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version should be made available with the app or its support materials.
